The Black-headed Penduline Tit is a Central Asian migrant.
Males observed at the Topar Lakes varied in how extensive the black pattern was on the head.
It breeds in reedbeds beside lakes and rivers. At Topar, the study reported that birds could be quiet and hard to find in late June while incubating or feeding young.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
