The shell is lenticular to globose-lenticular, with a relatively prominent spire. The shell surface is silky, with little lustre. The umbilicus is narrow and mostly obscured by the reflected upper columellar lip. It inhabits Scarp Forest and Northern Coastal Forest. During the wet season it lives mostly on leaves of understorey vegetation, retreating to leaf litter to aestivate during the dry winter months. It is recorded along the northern KwaZulu-Natal coast from Eshowe to just south of Sodwana Bay, South Africa.
