The boodie is a burrowing member of the kangaroo family that searches for plants and underground fungi.
It has a stocky body, yellowish-brown fur that is paler underneath, rounded ears, and a thick tail with a darker end.
Groups dig large warrens and eat underground tubers and fungi, along with seeds, fruit, and other plant foods.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
