This small Central African mouse is nocturnal and feeds mainly on a limited set of ants. Records come from places where forest and savannah meet.
It has a small body with short, dense, pale-brown fur. The sides and underside are paler than the back, and the ears are small and round.
It is nocturnal and eats a restricted set of ant species, especially Tetramorium aculeatum. During the day it rests in a burrow between tree roots.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
