This shrimp is known from Thailand.
In the females examined from southern Thailand, the rostrum is very short and convex.
It was collected from fresh and brackish water near the Gulf of Thailand coast. It inhabits lakes and lowland rivers, living on aquatic vegetation along the banks.
In the observed living specimens, the body is translucent with brown stripes and a few dark spots.
In the females examined from southern Thailand, the second leg is longer and more slender than the first.
