This bulbul occurs in forests of western and central Africa. It has white spotting on the wings and tail, and also eats fruit and nectar.
The 1881 catalogue describes adults as olive-brown above, with a grayer forehead. The wing-coverts have triangular white to yellowish-white tips; the outer tail feathers and underparts are white, with pale yellow at the center of the belly.
It is diurnal and recorded in forest, second growth, clearings, gallery forest, and plantations, from lowlands to about 1,300 m. Its diet is fruit-focused and also includes nectar.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
