The Cyclops leaf-nosed bat is a hipposiderid recorded in forests across western and central Africa. In Cameroon, bats were caught above a river pool and in a net set in the forest canopy.
It is smaller than the related Cameroon leaf-nosed bat, with a forearm shorter than 74 mm. The two Cameroon specimens averaged about 67.5 mm.
Two bats were captured in undisturbed primary forest at 1,074 m on Mount Mbam Minkom, Cameroon. One was caught in a net about a metre above a river pool and the other in a canopy net.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
