The Siberian weasel ranges across northern and eastern Eurasia and parts of South Asia. Its coat changes with the seasons, and it is most active at night or twilight.
The winter coat is a lighter yellowish brown, while the summer coat is darker. A dark mask marks the area from the eyes toward the nose; the muzzle, mouth and throat are pale.
It is described as nocturnal or crepuscular and usually solitary outside the breeding season.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
