The Stripe-throated Jery is endemic to Madagascar, from eastern forest to dry southwestern scrub. It gleans insects from vegetation and is often seen singing from a high perch.
It is about 12 cm long, with olive-green upperparts, a grayish nape and upper back, a pale eyebrow, and a dark eye stripe. The pale throat and breast have a yellow wash and variable olive streaks.
It takes insects from leaves and twigs, often foraging high in rainforest canopy and joining mixed-species flocks. Males may sing for long periods from exposed treetops.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
