The body is small, slender, and nearly cylindrical. The carapace reaches 3.4 mm in both sexes. The short projection at the front has 12–15 upper teeth and 2–4 lower teeth. A broad triangular part near the mouth ends in a finger-like tip. At collection site 5, the stream was 0.5–1 m wide and 0.2–0.3 m deep, with gravel, mud, and leaf litter on the bottom. Few shrimp were found among the leaf litter, and the water flowed slowly. It has been found in Chongxing Town, Wenchang City, Hainan Island.
