This slow loris occurs in central and northern Borneo. The 2013 taxonomic study compared facial patterns and other traits when describing it as a distinct species. Species-specific information about its behavior and diet in the wild remains limited.
A high-contrast dark mask surrounds the eyes, and long hair covers the ears. Facial patterns vary among regions, so appearance alone cannot settle the identification of every individual.
Confirmed localities are in forested central and northern Borneo, with only a few records near the coast. The sources reviewed here provide little species-specific information on wild behavior or diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
