This red bat was reported from a secondary forest in Pando, Bolivia. The 2024 paper documents one adult male from the site.
The adult male from Pando had a reddish back with black, yellow, and red bands in the dorsal hairs. Short reddish hairs covered about half of the tail membrane, and the wings were blackish.
This male was collected at Arroyo Hermoso in Pando from secondary forest with patches of primary vegetation. The record describes one specimen collected in 1991, not a range-wide habitat pattern.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
