The White-collared Kite is a raptor with a white band at the back of its neck. It has been recorded soaring over Atlantic Forest in northeastern Brazil.
Adults have a white hind collar and mostly white underwing coverts. Some feather tips on the wings and back are also white.
During surveys, birds soared above forest in the morning, and pairs were also recorded flying together. They sometimes crossed open sugarcane fields while moving between forest fragments but otherwise appeared to avoid open areas.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
