This small leaf warbler occurs on several Philippine islands. Its olive upperparts and yellow eyebrow, face, and throat stand out, though published accounts report island-level variation in the yellow areas. It searches leaves for insects.
About 11–12 cm long, it has olive upperparts, yellow on the eyebrow, face, and throat, and pale grey-white underparts. Yellow extent varies among islands.
It gleans small insects from leaves and twigs while moving through forest vegetation.
It is treated as resident in the Philippines and recorded from lowland forest to about 1,800 m.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
