Wolffsohn's mountain viscacha lives among rocky slopes in southwestern Argentina. It shelters in crevices and feeds on plants during the day.
Its coat is orange-ochre, and its ears are described as shorter than those of the related L. viscacia.
It is active by day and uses rock crevices for shelter. It may occur in small groups or alone, and eats herbs and leaves.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
