Munissi’s white-toothed shrew is known from several mountains in Tanzania’s Eastern Arc. Udzungwa records are from montane forest, not the drier lowland forest.
Dorsal hairs have gray bases and rich brown tips, giving the back a gray-brown appearance.
It is recorded in submontane and montane forest; in the Udzungwa Mountains, known sites are in montane forest above drier lowland forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
