This shrimp is known from Krabi Province, Thailand.
In the observed living specimens, the body is dark grayish blue with numerous small red and orange spots.
It was collected from submerged roots of bank plants in a stream connected to the Emerald Pool in Krabi Province, Thailand.
In the females examined from southern Thailand, the rostrum points slightly downwards.
In the females examined from southern Thailand, the back edge of the telson is nearly triangular with a tiny central projection.
