The Ankarana sportive lemur is a tree-dwelling lemur active at night in forests of northern Madagascar. Its long, bushy tail is another recognizable feature.
The coat is typically grayish brown with a gray underside. Its long, bushy tail may be dark gray or light brown, and males and females look similar.
It spends the night in trees and searches for food by jumping from branch to branch. NEPC reports fruit in the rainy season and leaves in the dry season.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
