A bulbul of northeastern India and southeastern Bangladesh. Its plumage is similar to a close relative, while its call offers an identification clue.
Like related Iole bulbuls, it has dull olive upperparts and paler yellowish-white to gray underparts. It tends to look brighter and yellower than the Grey-eyed Bulbul, but the difference is subtle.
The paper describes a short, high, wavering two-part call and notes that voice helps distinguish similar Iole bulbuls.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
