In adult males, the nostrils face laterally and are not protuberant. In adult males, the fingertips are not expanded into discs. Adult males have a smooth dorsum with a few scattered tubercles, or a slightly tubercular dorsum. In Ankarana dry forest, one male called from a bush about 5 cm above ground and another hid between branches. At Vohemar, frogs were found in dense leaf litter in a mango plantation. All specimens were collected at night. It is recorded from Ankarana National Park, between Andrakata and Andapa, and Vohemar, Madagascar.
