This bat has a large noseleaf covering its muzzle. It is known from limited sites in Southeast Asia and roosts in caves and mines, but much of its life history remains poorly known.
The dorsal fur is dark brown with a reddish tinge, and the underside is greyer. A broad horseshoe-shaped noseleaf covers the muzzle, with a deep notch at the front; the ears are long.
It generally roosts in caves and mines, usually in small numbers, and may share cave roosts with other bat species. Its diet and foraging behaviour are not known in the account.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
