Rüppell’s fox lives in deserts. Its large ears and white tail tip are distinctive.
Its coat is usually sandy, though gray coats also occur in rocky areas. It has a bushy white-tipped tail and gray facial markings.
It is mainly nocturnal, resting by day in burrows dug in sand or gravel. At night it searches for small animals and insects, and also eats roots and tubers.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
