This small monkey has reddish-ochre fur and pale markings around the mouth and eyes. It lives in forests of the southwestern Brazilian Amazon, with occasional records in bamboo-dominated forest.
The crown, back, underside, and limbs are reddish ochre. The coat from crown to saddle combines black, white or beige, and orange-red or ochre in a three-zone pattern. Gray-white hairs surround the mouth, white lines mark the area above and beside the eyes, and the backs of the hands and feet are darker.
In the southwestern Brazilian Amazon, it inhabits terra firme forest, which is not seasonally flooded. It is also sometimes found in tabocal forest dominated by Guadua bamboo.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
