An old description gives a head-and-body length of 70 mm, a tail of 52 mm and a hind foot of 12 mm. These are historical reported values, not the species' full range of variation.
It is recorded along the mountainous western belt of the Angolan plateau, in Huambo, Benguela, Huíla and Cunene provinces.
