This catbird lives in foothill and lower-montane forest on the Bird’s Head Peninsula of western New Guinea. It sometimes eats fruit fallen to the ground.
It has a white crescent behind the cheek, dark flecking on the rear crown and neck, and arrowhead marks on the dark throat and chest that fade into belly spots.
It uses foothill forest and dense forest habitat, and eats fruit, including fallen fruit on the ground.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
