A long-tailed dove found on islands in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan.
It is a dark brown dove with a long, broad tail. The head and underparts are rich cinnamon, the upperparts are dark grey, and the neck may show a faint purple gloss.
Shy and unobtrusive, it often forages in dense growth and also uses forest edges and trails. Its low, repeated hooting song is usually heard from cover.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
