Adult males have small eyes with round pupils. Adult males have fine granular dorsal scales mixed with enlarged, strongly keeled, conical tubercles, and spine-like scales on the flanks. Adult males have moderately long and slender forelimbs and hindlimbs. It is recorded on rocks, roadside rocky cuttings and building walls, and under cement culverts in dry deciduous to semi-evergreen forest. Individuals were observed active by day on rocks and walls below 2 m above ground. It is recorded around Mangalam Waterfalls and Shri Kaliyamman Temple, and in Pachaimalai Reserve Forest in the Pachaimalai Hills, Tamil Nadu, India.
