This serotine has records along the Mediterranean coast of Türkiye and into Syria. The account also notes its former treatment within Eptesicus bottae.
It resembles the common serotine but is somewhat smaller, with a black face, ears, and wing membranes and relatively short, pale dorsal fur.
It favors sparsely vegetated coastal zones and roosts in cracks in walls.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
