The Olive Thrush is a southern African bird with a bright orange belly and dark gray head and back. It turns leaf litter over to find earthworms and insects.
The head, back, and tail are dark gray, and the belly is orange. The bill is yellow-orange with a dark base, and the white throat has dark streaks. Males and females look alike; juveniles are paler and more spotted.
It forages on the ground, flicking through leaf litter mainly for earthworms. It also eats insects, other small invertebrates, and fallen fruit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
