  The flat-headed pika is recorded from the Longmen Mountains in Sichuan, China. Its original description gives sandy-yellow dorsal fur and a yellow-white underside. A 2026 analysis reports a strict association with dark coniferous forest for all four assessed Alienauroa species, including this one.
