• Beibeng Large-clawed Shrew Soriculus beibengensis

  This shrew was described from Medog County in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Its currently known records are limited to the Beibeng and Damu areas.

• Himalayan Shrew Soriculus nigrescens

  This large Himalayan shrew has a short tail and enlarged forefeet. Researchers interpret its large feet and claws as adaptations for digging.
