Australian Silky Terrier

Temperament
Friendly, Quick, Keenly alert
[3]Background and classification
Developed in Australia from Australian and Yorkshire terriers, it was formerly called Sydney Silky. AKC’s Silky Terrier is the same breed.
[1]Appearance and coat
A compact, slightly low body is somewhat longer than tall. Fine straight silky hair parts along the body, contrasting with the harsh-coated Australian Terrier.
[1]Coat and comparisons
JKC lists blue-and-tan or grey-blue-and-tan. Black puppy hair changes toward blue with maturity; age and the distribution of blue and tan affect appearance.
