Black & Cream

Black and cream combines a black ground with cream markings. The AKC glossary describes cream as a low-saturation light-to-medium yellow. In the AKC Dachshund standard, cream points occur above the eyes, on the jaw sides and underlip, inner ear edges, front and breast, inside and behind the forelegs, on the paws, around the anus and along the underside of the tail. Throat markings may also occur; undue prominence of the points is undesirable.
