White & Blue Merle

The AKC Border Collie standard accepts all colour and marking combinations and permits ticking in white. Random white body patches are allowed but should not predominate. The Shetland Sheepdog standard permits varying white and tan with blue merle, while more than half white is severely penalised in judging.
