The Spotted Honeyguide is an African bird with an olive back and a spotted breast. It searches forest canopies for beeswax and insects.
The adult is olive-brown with green tones above and rows of pale yellow-white spots from the throat toward the tail. Its bill is short and stout.
It is usually solitary, searching the canopy and lower forest levels for beeswax, caterpillars, beetles, spiders, and other food. It lays its eggs in Buff-spotted Woodpecker nests rather than building its own nest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
