The Black-headed Grosbeak is a songbird of western North America. Adult males are black, white, and cinnamon, and both parents care for the young.
Adult breeding males have a black head, black-and-white wings, and cinnamon plumage. Females are less brightly colored.
Both sexes share incubation, feed the young, and defend the nesting territory. They glean insects and seeds among dense foliage.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
