A warbler of East African scrub and forest. Williams and Arlott's 1980 field guide describes a green bird with a grey, black-banded crown and a dark chestnut throat patch that skulks in dense thickets, often near water.
Adults are bright green, including the wings and tail. A black band encircles the grey crown, and a dark chestnut patch marks the centre of the throat above pale grey underparts.
It skulks in dense scrub and forest undergrowth, often near water, including thick vegetation along streams and rivers.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
