The New Caledonian Cuckooshrike lives in forests on New Caledonia. A local island guide records it eating insects and small fruits in forest.
Adults are grey above and paler below, with chestnut on the underwing, wing bend, and undertail coverts. Females are smaller than males, and juveniles differ in plumage.
It forages alone or in pairs from the forest canopy down toward the ground, feeding on insects and small fruits.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
