A small mouse from Java's mountain forests, with a brown back and gray underside.
Its back is dark brown and its underside is lighter gray. Head-and-body length is reported as 80–121 mm and tail length as 78–117 mm.
It is nocturnal and terrestrial. The book lists primary forest at 2,000–3,000 m as its habitat.
