The little Indian field mouse is a small mouse with a gray-brown back and white underside. It is widely recorded in South Asia, but the central Myanmar population may represent a separate species.
It is small, with gray-brown fur above and white underparts and lower limbs. It has large eyes and rounded ears.
It is found along field banks and the edges of cultivated land, where it digs small burrows under roots or stones. It is nocturnal and eats vegetables, seeds, and insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
