Eastern hoolock gibbons live in forests from Myanmar and northeastern India to southern Yunnan in China. Pairs sing in coordinated calls.
Males are dark, while females range from pale brown to golden, so their coat colors differ markedly by sex. Their pale eyebrows are also conspicuous.
They live in trees, and pairs exchange song-like calls. The broader hoolock account describes movement through forest canopies.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
