The Sula Archipelago Rat is a medium-sized rat recorded on Taliabu and Mangole islands. Its soft fur is reddish brown above and buffy gray below, with a dark tail nearly as long as its body. Its ecology is poorly known, and a ground-dwelling lifestyle is only inferred from body proportions.
This medium-sized rat has a soft reddish-brown back and buffy-gray underparts. Its solid dark-brown tail is about 93–102% of head-and-body length.
Its ecology is poorly known. The 2023 review suggests that it may be terrestrial based on the relative lengths of its tail and hind feet; this is an inference, not a field observation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
