The Angolan African Dormouse is recorded in woodlands and forests in Angola and Zambia. Its coat colors and habitats vary across the reported areas.
The account describes back fur ranging from brown to reddish or golden and sometimes dark. It also notes a pale cheek stripe, dark markings around the eyes, and a white tail tip.
The authors consider it probably arboreal and possibly omnivorous. Tree larvae and fruit were reported from the stomach of one Angolan specimen.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
