The Forest Thrush has russet upperparts, a yellow bill and legs, and a scaly-looking breast. It searches leaf litter for small prey and also eats fruit.
Adult males and females look alike. The upperparts are russet, the bill and legs are yellow, and pale edges on the breast and belly feathers form a scaly pattern.
Alone or in pairs, it searches the forest floor and leaf litter for insects and other small prey. It also eats berries and other fruit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
