This cisticolid lives in the forest understory of western equatorial Africa and also uses dense cover at forest edges and clearings.
In an adult male photograph from Cameroon, the head and body appear dark slate blue-gray. The tail is missing from that photograph, so its tail color cannot be assessed.
It inhabits the understory of humid montane forest and dense vegetation at edges and small clearings, where it feeds on insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
