This mouse is known from the Mingan Mountains on Luzon in the Philippines. It moves over the ground at night, searching for earthworms and other small invertebrates.
The back is rich rusty reddish-brown. The belly hairs are pale gray at the base and white or lightly ochre at the tips, and the tail is sharply two-toned.
The Mingan Mountain survey caught this species in lowland dipterocarp forest, montane forest and mossy forest, with lower capture density in mossy forest. It forages on the ground at night for earthworms and other invertebrates.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
