This small wren is recorded in Bolivian Amazonian forests. It forages mainly in leaf litter and keeps to dense lower growth or the ground, alone or in pairs.
It is about 10.5–11.5 cm long, with barred wings and tail and a rufous eyebrow above the eye.
It stays alone or in pairs in the dark lower understorey, in dense thickets, and on the ground. It mainly forages in leaf litter and occasionally attends army-ant swarms.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
