The Whiskered Auklet is a small seabird with a crest and white plumes that stand out in the breeding season.
It is grey and about the size of a robin. In the breeding season it has a quail-like crest and three white plumes extending from the head.
It dives and swims underwater, sometimes beating its wings as if flying beneath the surface. Feeding areas include tide-rips where currents meet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
