Brehm's Tiger Parrot is a green parrot of New Guinea's mountain forests. Barred back feathers and the male's yellow facial crescent are useful field marks.
It has a green body with barred back and rump, a brown face, pale silvery bill, and red undertail. Males have a yellow crescent bordering the brown face; females have more barring below.
It forages slowly from near the ground to higher levels in montane forest and along its edges. Wild diet records include seeds, berries, and fruits.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
