The Leaden Honeyeater is a New Guinea mountain-forest bird with fine streaks on its gray body. It gleans small arthropods from leaves and twigs and also takes nectar.
The head, neck, and back are leaden gray, with fine blackish-brown streaks on the crown and nape. Pale speckling appears on the sides of the face, chin, and throat; the wings and tail are browner.
It searches foliage and twigs for arthropods in the lower and middle forest levels. It also feeds on flower nectar and is usually seen foraging alone.
The bill is black to grey-black.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
